I have a compaq presario 1600S, amd K6 350Mhz laptop and I want to drop a cd-burner into it, it has a cd player so I would expect there would be no prblems in putting a CD-RW into it right?
Where would I buy one? "Newegg.com?".

Your best bet for a system that old would be Ebay. I don't think we carry items for that model on our hpshopping.com site.

No, I meant search on Ebay for a CD-RW....assuming it has a modular bay.

If they sell one for your model laptop, it should work fine.
