Companies Detecting

I mean like, if your chip had problems and you overclocked, but you sent it to whever you bought it from because of the warrenty. Overclocking voids the warrenty right? How can they tell?
 
they see for basic symptoms...

on normal operation, the CPU should not overheated unless OC or failed HSF
