Compact wireless mouse for travel

I'm not a super frequent work traveler, but it happens occasionally. And while the MacBook Pro's trackpad is fine, it can be very uncomfortable or inconvenient for me over long periods of time. I don't do anything particularly special with my mouse for work (e.g., spreadsheets/reports, general internet browsing, etc.), but I'm just used to a regular mouse at home and in the office, and only having a trackpad can get annoying. I'm also a very light packer and only do carry-on bags as much as I can, so a mouse is low on the totem pole of volumetric priorities.

Does anyone had good/bad experiences with compact, easy-to-pack wireless mice? I'm looking for minimum weight and - especially - volume. Long-term ergonomics don't matter so much, as long as the mouse isn't totally useless/terrible. Having 2 side buttons would be great, but probably not possible in the compact/flat size that I would want. No preference for BT vs 2.4G, technically, except that a 2.4G receiver (if needed) should probably be tucked inside the mouse and be USB-C; so, I think that practically just leaves BT mice.

A couple of the top options I've found so far:
* Logitech Pebble Mouse 2 M350s Slim - small, pretty flat, can be found for very cheap
* Microsoft Arc - "folds" flat and unfolds as full-ish size (?); much higher price, and I haven't tried a mouse with this kind of design yet

order both, try them, return the one you dont like.

The Arc mouse was great when it had physical buttons, but the new version sucks. You can't left and right click at the same time, doesn't work in games.

Hmm, I don't plan on gaming with it, but that's still annoying. And looking at other reviews, it seems like there are other problems - e..g, I think someone mentioned that it doesn't work well on some surfaces (bad, since I definitely wouldn't bring a mousepad with me).

A couple of other options I found since my original post:
  • Microsoft Surface Mobile - looks generally similar to the Pebble
  • Logitech Anywhere 3S - popular / recommended; not TOO much bigger than Pebble but does have side-buttons, which is nice
    • And I see some similar, non-Logitech ones with fewer recommendations in the "travel mouse" category - e.g., Keychron M4, which is marketed as a gaming mouse

I have one somewhere. Actually pretty nice. While it's less compact than the Arc, it's also cheaper and lightweight. It feels a little cheap because of the weight, and you have to clean the groove around the edge, but it worked fine in general.

I ended up ordering a Keychron M4, which isn't exceptionally thin but is otherwise super tiny and incredibly light... though I'm now mainly interested in it as a daily driver / gaming mouse! I didn't realize that such tiny gaming mice, specifically for fingertip grips, are a thing. We'll see how it works out!
