Guys

I tend to have Asrock FM2+ mITX mb + A10-5800K(I know this is 100W CPU) and would like to build a small system in the case falling under these requirements:
1. Smallest possible taking in account below:
2. Positive pressure based - i.e. as an option to be cooled by single(in the whole system) 14 cm top blow fan for CPU cooler(Scythe Big Shuriken 2 Rev B.)
3. Either have no PCI-E extension slot or have just two/one low profile ones(for DVB-D2 Card).
4. NO ODD\DVD Drive ! and no other excessive space.
5. To be more/less suitable for PICO-PSU with external power brick.
6. To have single/dual 2.5 SSD/HDD mounting options
7. to have VESA mount (in case no PCI-E extension slots available) - to mount it on the back of my QX2710

so far, unfortunately, I've found NO cases that can satisfy above requirements. They are either have lots of wasted space for DVD or 3.5" drives or no proper ventilation.

Pls someone who has seen/know more that I do guide me in the right direction....

thanks

I was just thinking that same thing - the ISK 110 ticks all of your checkboxes.

M350 also fits the bill and is slightly smaller than the ISK 110. Both are about as small as you can get, essentially being the size of an ITX board.

The ISK 110 includes an 80w PSU board with a 90w powerbrick. You can take it out and use a Pico, but the hole for the connector on the ISK 110 is square and some modding is needed if you want to avoid the connector just dangling out of the case. I have pics of that in my build thread for this case. The m350 is designed for use with a Pico. The ISK 110 also still only has USB 2.0 front connectors, not sure if that matters to you.

I currently have an A10-7800 in an ISK 110 and aside from the built in APU clock speed weirdness it is functioning fine under both heavy and light loads.

Thanks for advise guys. ISK110 is really nice & compact, albeit a bit expensive.
However I have 100W CPU and even undervolting it wont help(unless I limit it to approx. 3 GHz), if CPU cooler will be weak.
Scythe Shuriken 2 Rev B will not fit afaik(too bad as this is one of the best in its class for size vs quietness), and I others like Scythe kozuti and Noctua l9a will not be able to take care of CPU under loading...

Found Praeton LD964 CPU cooler from your links, someone is using in APU build - perhaps this one is performing better than Kozuti & l9a ?

M350 - I do not like top HDD/SSD mounting bars which block the Air intake for the Top blow cpu cooler.
this is more like undustrial solution to me.

illram - you should try to undervolt your APU via BIOS and see if it still keeps dropping frequency.
For example I was able to take some heat off from my A10-5800K by disabling turbo core and undervolting to 1,25V under full load without shifting down frequencies !
Took off at least 30W under Prime95 test according to my multimeter.

Can you let me know CPU cooler height limit for the ISK110 ??
Want to see if, say Xigmatek Praeton + Scythe 12cm slim pwm fan from Big Shuring can fit...

the ISK110 has more then 40mm clearance for CPU cooler, the ISK100 has 40mm.

preaton + scythe thin fits fine, i've done it on my APU ISK build and I've a 5800k in a ISK100 and a 7850k in a ISK110

the 5800k has a slight undervolt whle the 7850k runs at stock

is that on the stock PSU, Akro? how's the temps on the 7850k?

thanks for an info !

Can you pls post more details on a system running A10-5800K ?
- undervolting data applied
- PSU used
- measured power consumption
- reconfirm xigmatek preaton used and advise temps for CPU/system under load

thanks for help !
