Comp stopped working

So after a year of perfect stability (like rock solid), my computer decided to all of the sudden take crap and flip me off.

I woke up to check email before work and was greeted with a long beep. I hit the reset button and it started up perfectly.

When i got home, the beep returned and it wouldnt go away. I did discover a leak in my watercooling setup, but it was isloated outside the case and plenty of water was still getting to the cpu block. None the less, I decided to put the stock cooler back on and now, all of the sudden, the board (striker extreme) will not boot at anything other than stock settings.

Someone help me here. Why did it all the sudden get crazy and how should I go about isolating what the problem is??

CPU - E6600
Ram - Corsair 8500 (4x 1gb stock speeds and 2t timing)
HDD = Some SATA POS
Soundcard = audigy sommin or other
GFX = 8800GTS


The comp freezes constantly in bios.

About to run a few torture tests.
 
Update!
I flashed bios, now thing won't post. It turns on, and right before post beep, it runs out of juice and starts over.
 
Remove all of the unessential components (ex: hard drive, optical drives, etc.). Also try resetting the CMOS if you haven't done already.

What PSU do you have?

Edit: What voltage were you running those Corsair sticks?
 
Right now you're just pissing in the wind... good suggestion to remove all the peripherals.. but first thing i'd have done is look in my mobo manual and try figuring out what those beep codes actually meant. Should give you some kinda idea as to the general problem area.

Guess after noticing a coolant leak i'd also take everything apart and look for corrosion and verify there isn't any..
 
Start from scratch, reset the CMOS like you did above but remove the motherboard out of the case, plug in only the video card, memory cpu/hs and PSU. Do not attach the hard drives, cd roms or anything else.

Try to boot and see if it will post to bios.
 
ROFFLE.

It's toast. The board is absolutely fried.

I think I need a bios replacement
