Comp. Set-up for $2000

$2000 is all I have to buy a gaming computer. I was wondering if someone could help me out with a good set-up. The only requirements I have are it either have a 7800GTX graphics card or the AMD Athlon X2 4400+...I will mainly use the computer for gaming and encoding movies. Also, I will need to get a new case and monitor. Any help I can get would be great

w/ $2k u should b able to get both the x2 and the gtx, all the components other than gfx card and processor will b ~$600, and gtx = ~$550-600, x2 im not sure but u've still got plenty of headroom. the only thing that might cause a problem is if u necessarily need a monitor w/ the new comp, a good lcd might put u over the limit, depending on how much the x2 is.

heres a rundown:

case: ~$100
psu: ~$50-150, depending on how powerful of one u need
processor: ??? (too lazy to look it up -_-)
gpu: 7800 GTX: ~$550
mobo: ~$125
ram: 1gb? ~$80 unless u want oc'ing ram
optical drives (if needed): ~$40 for a dvd burner
hard drive: ~$100 (if needed, $100 will get u a pretty big one)

total: ~$1150 w/o the processor i think. correct me if im missing nething here. so theres plenty of room for the processor and maybe a monitor with it, depending how big of a monitor u want (im assuming u want a lcd)

if you buy your 4400+ as OEM rather than Retail you can save yourself about $100, acording to that link on newegg. if you plan on buying a new HSF anyway.

they are currently out of stock tho.

some of the 7800GTXs just recently droped another $25
at newegg the cheapest is winfast for $499 at 430/1200 stock, i cant recomend it tho.
XFX has one for $549 at 490/1300, i thinks thats the highes out of box oc you can buy
or you can get a BFG for $559 at 460/1300, you cant go wrong with a lifetime warranty.

so a 4400+ with a HSF and a 7800GTX will cost about $1200 depending on what you buy.

that leaves $800 for the rest wich is plenty

he needs a monitor too, but if he's not picky that can be had for <$100, so that wouldnt make much of a difference. depends on how much he wants. i'd recommend getting a lower x2 tho, there isnt that much of a performance difference for like $200 or however much it is to go down to one level lower

$1707.99 + $100 (for case/fans/etc.) + monitor (idk if you want lcd or crt) + $100-$200 (mouse/keyboard/etc.) possibly speakers.
