hey
so today i installed my realtek HD audio drivers and went to reboot. When i did so, it took forever to recognize my HDD's then hung on "Verifying DMI Pool Data". no error message, not insta-reboot, it just hung. after some messing around i got it to recognize my hard drives like normal, but it still hung. i have tried unplugging my hard drives and boting from a disc, but it will hang after the inital data load. (Win7 disc)
if it helps i reformatted my 360gb HDD about a week and a half ago and put Win7 on it. Vista is still on my 160gb cuz i havent gotten around to formatting it yet, but this problem hasnt come up yet. (usualy there is a screen asking which OS i want to boot into) the farthest i have gotten was when i had everything like normal, it got to the Win7 loading screen (not login), but locked up before it/i could do anything.
I have reset my BIOS to default, Optimal, and did the CMOS reset with a jumper on the motherboard. no difference with anything. so is my motherboard FUBAR, or could it be a HDD issue?
thanks
