comp crash due to overclocking

Hey, I have a question my comp crashes all the time and when i restart it it says over clocking error sometimes but the crashes aren't predictable and are random any help?
 
Can we please have a quick run-down of your setup. I'm thinking, although this is just a guess, that you may need to increase some MB or CPU voltages. Did these crashes begin when you reached the given overclock, or have they just come about?
 
If your overclocking then your doing it WRONG ie STOP IT and don't ask for help on such a complicated issue. If stock then your probably overheating due to a loose/incorrectly mounted heatsink and/or dead fan on said heatsink...
 
no no thats not it iam not overclocking it it says overclocking error sometimes also my cpu is 1.5 gigs and think it could be my power supply cuz the fan dont work on that it makes loud noises when it trys to turn but other than the power supply everything is pretty much new
 
make sure your motherboard doesn't oc by default. some asus boards do this

So this doesn't seem like its strange or the cause of your issues if the power supply the MOST important part of a system since it supplies the power to EVERTHING in that box isn't functioning correctly and thus overheating and probably burning itself up and causing your issues!? :p
