comp bottleneck

hey i was just wondering if running a bfg geforce 6600gt oc agp in a 4x slot would actually reduce performance. my computer right now
p4 2.26ghz
msi 6787 mobo 4x agp
1 gig of ram
i was just wondering if the 4x slot would be the bottleneck... right now bf2 doesnt even really run at all, and i was wondering if my new asrock dual sata2 mobo and opteron 146 (when i get it) will be able to run it better since it has a 8x agp slot instead of a 4x. thanks!

oh and i was also wondering if 61C was a proper idle temp for my gpu? it seems kind of high if you ask me...

No it shouldnt. If at all maybe less than 2%.

I used to run a 6800gt in agp 4x.

I doubt there will be a difference.




I do know that any differnce WILL NOT be noticible one.

56 is about what my bfg 6800 ultra oc stays at idle.

i had my 9200se running in agp 4x because of bad drivers from asrock and i DID notice a difference when i bumped it up to 8x with new drivers it was about a 50% increase in speed
