Someone brought up the face Commodore is releasing a new mode C64...same case, same colors, new hardware. And while thats cool and all, I found this to be much more interesting:

http://www.commodoreusa.net/CUSA_Phoenix.aspx

A true modern bother to the C64, this items actually perked my interest....however, Commodore is taking their sweet time, long enough that the listed specs are already obsolete (C2D, DDR2, etc). That, plus my biggest gripe, is the lack of an HDMI port on the device, as well as a weak graphics chip.

So if this thing ever is released (still can't buy it that I know of), it will need an update...and if it does, would you pick one up? A true successor (imo) of the C64, I would be very interested if the points I made were covered....would you?

I used to play on a C64 and owned a few Amigas over the years, 3 A2000's, an A3000, and an A3000T.
They were badass back in the day.

I don't think the new Commodore machines will sell well. And why put Serial, Parallel, and PS/2 ports on these new machines?

This is only Commodore by name, since Commodore folded in the mid 90's and the name/rights have been changing hands a few times since.

I would buy the concept, but not with this hardware.. If it was had a dual core atom or the upcoming zocate then it would be cool. But it needs to be low power hardware or it needs to be capable of gaming.. this is neither.
