We have no set of diagnostic programs at work...basicly the procedure is to check that the device manager is working, run chkdsk, memtest86 (I had to bring that one in...and got it confirmed for use) and a few other lame things.

Now I want to use programs that I use for stability/diagnostics such as HDtune, Sandra, Orthos, CPU-Z, Speedfan, etc...

Now the question is am I legally allowed to use any/all of them? Probably not since we're getting paid to do the service when they aren't.

I just answered my own question, nevermind :D

Any recommendations? Maybe I can convince the DM to make it a standard.

Yeah, typically these programs are free only for non-commercial use.
I would recommend getting in touch with the companies and asking for permission to use the software for your company. (i.e. Hitachi DFT, Seagate SeaTools, Memtest, etc)
