My rig is in the sig, but as you can see, the highest I've been able to get it to run(with my PC3200 RAM) is 2.15 GHz. anything over that and my computer becomes unstable as hell. I even had it lock up and had to repair the registry. Anyway, I swapped out my PC3200 w/ a 512 mb stick of PC2100 and I got it to run at 2.3Ghz and VERY stable. It seems fairly obvious but I'll ask anyway- do you think my memory is holding me back? And if it is, which do you think is a better setup: 1)2.15 Ghz w/512Mb of PC3200(running at 215Mhz) or 2) 2.3 Ghz w/512Mb of PC2100(running at 152Mhz)?
Also, I noticed with the 2100 in, my divider seems to automatically adjust(if that's possible). But when my 3200 is in, I can't seem to get it to run well at other than a 1:1.

I run mine the same as you got with the pc3200.

I can do more but I just leave it at 215fsb.

May be because of looser timings on the PC2100. If you had value ram with loose timings, you might be able to OC it, but tighten those timings, and you may have trouble running it even at stock. It could be that you have nice tight timing on the PC3200, so it was becoming unstable at higher speeds. I don't really know about RAM speed and the difference it makes, but my P4 2.53 @ 533 FSB w/ PC2700 seems to be a bit slower than a 2.6 with PC3200 RAM, even when I O/C it to 2.6 or higher. I think it could be the cheap RAM I have. I love Christmas, by the way. :D

So then a little bit slower on the CPU w/ the 3200 RAM isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'm no expert still so I was curious to see what you all thought. I'll just keep my PC3200 in and run it around 215 mhz then. BTW, I did run CPUid and in the memory, the timings were all slightly slower than the PC2100. Not exactly sure what they were. I'll try to post them tomorrow when I get home.
PS. I haven't been able to get a "screen shot" like most of you guys. I've tried hitting the "Print Screen" button but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Just to add on, I'm thinking about getting another stick of 512 PC3200(Patriot brand). Is Patriot any better than Kingston? I'm not sure of the timings on the Patriot cause I can't find the add I saw it on but the Kingston is cas 3. Do you think it would help to try a different brand of RAM is basically what I'm asking.

Well, after some fiddling, I've gotten my system(so far) to be stable at 2.2 Ghz. I went in the Bios and fiddled with my timings. Here's my settings(since I can't seem to get a screen shot):
CPU @ 2.2Ghz @ 1.55V
Mem @ 220Mhz @2.7 V
Temp @ ~30C
I ran SisSandra(??) and my mem bench marks were 3064 Int buffered and 3076 float buffered. Like I said, I went in and changed my Cas from 3 to 2.5 and my benchmarks went up to 3371 and 3374 respectively. So far my comp appears to be stable. I did see the HT multi in the bios but not sure I want to mess w/it. It's at 4X right now.
Also, when I try to run 3DMark, I get this error: "DIRECT3D DEVICE9: CREATPIXELSHADER failed:INVALID CALL(D3DERR_INVALID CALL)" and it won't run. Anyone know what that means?
Sorry for the long read  .
Also, what's weird is I changed from cas 3 to a 2.5 and my computer seems to be running good so far. Like I said, the highest I had been able to go was 2.15 Ghz before it became unstable.
Any opinions on why 3D Mark won't run?
