Intel E5200 --> to be upgraded to Q8300 later on
Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R
OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 800 MHz Platinum XTC
DIamond ATI Radeon HD4850
Western Digital Caviar 640GB SATAII 7200RPM 16MB Buffer
Samsung DVD+/-RW
OCZ StealthXtream 600W
Cooler Master Case

There's no such thing as a DS3LR motherboard -- you either want the DS3L or the DS3R. But instead of both, take advantage of the combo deal the Asus P5Q Pro has with the Seasonic S12 550W PSU, which is (IMO) a better choice than the StealthXtream 600W PSU.

Why not get a quad core processor now? What's your budget? Which specific Cooler Master case are you looking at?

sorry its the DS3R because of the crossfire, Dolby audio, and data encryption build in options.
i have a cheap cooler master case from my last build: Cooler Master Elite 330 Mid Tower Case

i'm from Canada and the OCZ is going for $55 after rebates at infonec.com.

I just bought a E5200 yesterday....I was building a new server and was going to put this in it.

because i'm getting Q8300 for a discount at the end of the year so..so just sticking with a cheap dual core until i get my quad core

Have you compared the features that each board have?

Features-wise: DS3L < UD3R < DS3R < UD3P (Price-wise, in Canada, they would probably be the same.)

(Actually, the DS3R and the UD3P are about the same features-wise. No, you don't need to get the newer boards just for the "ultradurable" PCB board.)
