Command & Conquer 4 has been officially announced.

Key facts:
  • Final chapter in the Tiberium saga.
  • Two-player co-op campaigns
  • Class-based game system
  • Persistent experience points (RPG-like system)
  • Mobile bases (the Crawler)
  • Five-on-five multiplayer
  • No DRM (but requires you be online to play to prevent cheating)
  • Joe Kucan (Kane) is returning
  • Most units in a C&C game ever
  • Some classic C&C units will be returning
  • Fans will choose the subtitle for C&C4 (like how Monolith had fans name F.E.A.R. 2)
  • EXCLUSIVE TO PC. No console version.

It wasn't called the Monkeylord. It was an experimental unit. Big Boy or Fat Boy. Something like that.

You weren't speaking of the red unit which looks like the Monkeylord? But yes, the experimental you're thinking of is the Fat Boy though he doesn't look like anything within this screenshot.
 
I'm at work, so I can't go to that link. But it does have similarities. Are we looking at the same unit in the picture above? In the top left? It might not be as fat as the Fat Boy, but the side looks somewhat like the side of the Fat Boy.

Oh, I thought that was simply a part of the map, heh. In that case, yeah, I can see a likeness between the two.

Yeah, jerk! I'm sending aurora bombers to destroy your power plants to bring down your base defenses. Then ten stealth comanches will suddenly appear and destroy your command center. Then I'll send more bombers to take out your construction units.

C&C still sells? It's just the same old stuff in an arguably prettier shell.
 
Who here still remembers the huge kick in the balls known as C&C2: Tiberian Sun?

After that pile, I never gave the C&C Tiberian series a second look.

If you thought that was a huge kick in the balls you should try 3. EA managed to make TS look good by comparison.
 
looks like its dx10 or dx 11 maybe? as soon as i see the pre-order i am getting the collector's edition. since this will be the last cnc. we'll the first cnc came out in 1995 i belive. so its been going for a while. the units look like the old school tiberian sun units.
 
They need to release a Generals 2 or something.

Updated graphics and no bs slowdowns with smart way point systems. And an online system that works....

Sorry but every C&C can kiss my ass, Generals ZH imo was by far the best
 
I thought C&C3 and RA3 were both really good. Can't wait for this one.

I haven't liked the C&C games since they went 3D its not just 3 , Generals and Red Alert 3 I just didn't care for. I like the old school look of it.

But something about this new one intices me. Perhaps its the last of the series or the rpg elements.
