Come down to 2 cases... lol

Only thing I like better about the Tsunami is that it uses two 120mm fans. I'd rather run a 120mm fan any y over 2 80mm fans (NOISE!). Looking at the Lian Li..wouldn't a 120mm fan fit to replace that small 80mm fan?

The Lian Li is an overall nicer case. Hiding wires will be easier, and it looks a lot better in my opinion.

The next case I'm going to get is going to have side to side HD mounts, instead of front to back. Working with harddrives where you dont have to take them out to change pin settings, ide/sata cables is so much easier with a side to side mount. That makes the world of difference to me with a case design.

I'll wait a day starting now, then I'll average the votes and decide :p

OR maybe you could read other threads that come to similar conclusions and then make the decision for yourself. :p then you wouldn't have to make threads like this.

zing!

Personally, I couldn't ever see picking a Thermaltake case over an Lian-Li for the same price, but that's just me.

Well I'm getting helpful replies and I don't want to spend $110-$140 without asking others what they prefer between my two choices.

Haha, that's funny. I know Thermaltake isn't known for their great products, but the looks of that case are very cool and so are the inside features. Based on the thread so far however it looks as if the Lian-Li will win my vote.

I know exactly what you mean, however I have it figured out. The rear fan is 80mm yes, but I have already ordered a new drill and a 83mm holesaw bit inorder to fix that. I am also planning on adding a top 120mm fan, and I will replace the 2 front 80mm fans with the 2 extremely quiet blue LED fans I have sitting in my current case. I hope that will give me great cooling while eliminating most of the sound. Considering I also have watercooling that would subtract one fan from the CPU :)

Throw in some watercooling and you're set.

BTW, if you go for the LL, it's cheaper at www.excaliberpc.com if it's in stock. ;)

Wow, you posted a second before I did :p Thanks for the heads up on the site, but they sell it for $105 and Newegg for $110, and just for the great past experiences I've had with Newegg I'll spend that extra $5 to make sure I get exactly what I order ;)

Also, I do have watercooling heh :)

Get the Lian Li and be unique, just like everyone else......

Seriously, if you're wanting a blank canvas for modding, the Lian Li can't be beat. If you want something that is different, the ThermalTake would seem the way to go.

Personally, I like the Tsunami (which is why I ordered one) alot more than the LL.

you missed out man! yesterday @ xoxide.com they had that tt case for $98! i would get in, but i'm quite happy with my antec sonata.

edit-phoenix, nice quote from dumb and dumber :D

JHMO, but I think the Lian Li looks much better. The Tsunami looks like plastic. :D

go with the LL-PC65

I got one, they look good and stay cool... Dual 80s intakes in the front (with adjustable speed control), duel outtakes in the back and single outtake on top.

Man, if we didnt conviced him, Im going shoot myself with a .44 cal :D

These threads are funny. If you've chosen two, why not choose between the two yourself?

I wouldn't start with the two that you've chosen. I'd get the CoolerMaster Wave Master; the Thermaltake case you're considering is a copy of the CoolerMaster. I've not seen the Thermaltake version, but i'm told it's a copy of the CoolerMaster. I own the CoolerMaster, and I'm quite happy with it.

lian-Li makes great cases, but I think the PC-65 is ugly, though the pull-out motherboard tray is really nice.

How would I choose between something I think is ugly, and something I think is cheap immitation of a nice rig?

Yeah you guys definately convinced me to order the Lian-Li, so I ordered it tonight off of Newegg.

You know what's interesting, a few hours before I decide to order it the price on it goes up to $125 from $110.

HMMM...

Thats my man. You will not regreat it.

I won't buy a new case with 80 mm fans in it. I have a PC-68 now. Lian Lis are worlds better than some generic Packard Bell case you have laying around, but they aren't the only game in town anymore.

Why is it that people like LLs so much? They look very plain (or is that it..modding) The main reason i dont like them is they are dear (in the UK at least) and very common... I would get the coolmaster though over the TT copy.

Lian Li.... I have one and It has been a great experience overall. Its very easy to mod. I dremelled a sick shamrock into the side of mine to show my irish pride. :D

The quality of workmanship on them is incredible, (IIRC..) they are made in Japan rather than China or Taiwan, and they are a very good canvas for modding.

They are expensive, but from what I've seen, they are worth the money.

I double that :D

I think the second one looks way to r0b0-1337 ( way too much crap in the design. like the ones used in those systems advertised in the back of max pc or pcmag)

Gawdly, that front grill and those HID lights remind of my Merecedes E500 :D j/k :D
Yeah, those cat ray it too, too much. Yeah like the post above say, you can land a jumbo 747 with all those lights.

i say Tsunami it uses 120's

much easier if you want to watercool in the future.. all decent radiators use 120mm fans
