Comcast again....

Ok well it seems that Comcast loves to do maintenance on me without notice, and expects me to pay for their downtime. This is night number 2 for the week and the 2nd time in 3 months that they have been down for maintenance. So once again low PPD, and no gaming for me. Thankfully I keep a cellular connection so I can atleast do some work stuff and goof off some. Is there away to submit comcast to a dictionary as an insult?

You have no idea how tempting that really is. Almost started to do that.

That is actually not abnormal as many ISP perform maintenance late at night without alerting you. You figure that they would at least shoot off an email warning you, but of course we are talking about Comcast of all ISP's, LOL.

TimeWarner always does nightly maintenance around this time because much fewer people are online than during the day. I notice it because i'm always awake working on stuff till 2am or later. They don't alert us via email, but at least the downtimes have gotten shorter and shorter these days. If they do maintenance, the outages are usually less than 15 minutes now.

Yea I guess I am just kinda spoiled with some of my clients having servers in data centers, and my own servers in data centers. I know when a box is going to be down weeks ahead of time and I know how to plan ahead. Comcast could do the same since I do have a comcrap email account and I have my work email listed on my account. I just think it is lazyness on their part. They always want to improve their image that they have poor products and customer service this would be a way to do so.Then all the comcast sucks sites would have nothing to complain about.
