I have a bunch of video clips from school that are in windows media format that I want to combine into a single clip. Does anyone have suggestions of free software that I can download to do this, or if I can do it with the dos copy command like I can text files (I couldn't get it to work, but I was told you can do it)? I tried mediajoin, but that didn't work either. Thanks.

Windows Movie Maker can do it. I don't know if the computers at your school have it, but it comes standard with XP. I have found it to be really buggy. It likes to crash a lot, but just combining clips shouldn't be a problem.

You could look at Easy Video Joiner, which is shareware. You get 7 days free... works fast and well. I've had no problems.

Thanks for the suggestions. I had totally forgot about the Movie Maker within XP. I used that to combine my clips, and it worked great. Thanks again.
