Hi guys, I'm facing a problem with a PC I built for a friend...

when he right click on a movie file (only movie files), the sreen sort of goes black as if he was changing the resolution, then comes back to normal after 3 seconds!

When I change timing setting in the ForceWare settings to anything else and click apply it doesn't happen. But when i click OK and exit again, it happens again.


It's a 17 Inch View Sonic LCD monitor 712VA

So i know it's not a hardware problem, but a software one!

Please help! :(

MSI Motherboad (i865 based)
Pentium 4 3.0E
1 GB RamBo RAM

Color 3D GeForce FX 5200

lol, hell if i know, might wnana update drivers, or get em off guru3d :p
 
I had the same problem back when I had a 5500 (good riddance >_> ), reinstalling the drivers solved it for me.
 
Does the card have TV-Out? Mine use to do that if I had a TV hooked up to it, I think its detecting if it would be able to play the video on your TV. If you notice on the bottom of the popup menu there is an item "Play movie on my television".
