Collaborotory Liquid Pro

Is that the stuff that is corrosive to aluminum? I don't know where to get it but it doesn't seem worth the trouble to me. I use Zalman STG-1 and couldn't be happier with the temps and ease of use.

its hard to apply w/ a brush as the liquid metal moves w/ the brush. it eats up metal and the price to performance ratio is not worth it.

There are several links to buy that TIM of aluminum death off of eBay.

It doesn't perform more than 1 degree better than AS5. It does cost more, is easier to spill, potentially toxic (the company isn't complying with international MSDS laws and providing a materials safety data sheet) is tough as hell to apply correctly, and is very-very conductive.

QFT. I couldn't be happier with it either, I lost a full 2'c when I switched to it from a previous cured AS installation... Idle temps of 31 under water (dropped from 32) and load temps of 37 (from 39). That's with a 770mhz overclock.

Dont' waste your time with the liquid pro stuff, the price/performance ratio just isn't worth it.

from a bunch of reviews that they have posted on their product page, it looks like it is 2-5 degrees better than AS5. And According to FrozenCPU:

"NOTE: The Coollaboratory Liquid PRO was mistakenly reported as being toxic. We apologize for this error. The Liquid PRO is not a poison, is not a fire risk, nor is it an explosive. We do recommend taping the plastic top onto the syringe before disposing of it to prevent others from cutting themselves on the product."

Now it does look like a pain to put on and even worse to remove.

I would like to try it one day though , it looks different and new. I have about 5 different thermal pastes at home and its not i needed this but when i saw the review of it i thought "hey that looks good" .

Just wanted to find a place in the uk that sold it.

Shoot I've still got AS3 at home never even made the move to AS5 since you need so darn little of any of these products. Certainly the marketing graphs are intriguing from the reputation vendors though
