Cold Cathodes?

I have 2 in my Computer (The Dual Kit from Thinkgeek.com) and it came with a swith to turn the lights off and on. My first mod (which I didn't display because it wasn't the greatest, or that wonderous of a mod) I did was to put the Switch in my extra 3.5" slot. I did this so I could turn my lights off or on whenever I felt, but I've noticed I've been keeping them off unless I have friends around. So the question is, who here keeps their cathodes off unless they're showing them off?

i dont know about cold cathods but i have a bunch of LEDs and other lights around my wires and stuff inside my case. and at night when my parents think im alseep i kinda wish i could turn them all off cause they are really bright.

that doesnt really answer ur question but if i hade a switch i would probably keep them off to save electricity cause i dont see them and its not as bright reflecting off my wall.

i have 2 switches 1 for 3 UV caths 1 for my 1 blue cold cath and i always leave the uv on

I always have my CCFLs on...

Thats my preference - i also have some orange LED fans that i have to replace the leds in >.<

So, again, to answer your question: Yes - i always have mine on.

my ccfls are always on, i love the soft glow of purple they cast over my entire workspace.and the make the white stuff in my dorm look sweet since they are UV.

and plus, the chicks dig it. everytime a girl comes in the room the first thing she notices is my PC, and usually says to my room mate (who usually brings the girls over) "wow, his (mine) PC is so much prettier/more sexy/cooler/nicer than yours(my roomate's).

it is pretty cool

i have a switch for mine on the inside of my case, and it never gets touched.

I usually keep my UVs off until it's night time
