Can I make the wires longer with out hurting brightness (inverter to lamp)? and I have a bulb where the wires come out both ends for my top secret project that will not work out. how do they make them so the wires only come out one end? I remember seeing a mod once some where (Lost the link in a Format C:D) that they spliced it with a thin uninsulated wire (as to not be seen) and ran it in one of those tube those commerical ones come in. So can I do that with mine and will it work the same brightness? and can I also extend the wire as my inverter will be remote mounted. Do commerical cathode makers do that wire out one end trick the same way? thanks and sorry for the long thread

last time i've extended my 4" ccfl wires and the britghtness is still the same. the wire is around 2m if i'm not mistaken.

so i guess it should be fine

i dont see any problems unless it gets REALLY long or the wire has alot of resistance
