Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Whenever I get up in the high 1000's of fps I hear a high pitched whine from my video card. Wondering if that could damage the video card in anyway. I usually play with vsync on, but Skyrim seems to have a stutter issue when it's turned on.
Either coil whine or just a whine from when the capacitors are under stress causing a high current rippling affect (vibration). No it won't damage your video card in anyway unless you suspect there are bulging caps or some other sort of damage on the card. Motherboards and PSU's can whine a lot when under stress so it's not just limited to graphics cards.
