Codecs make me want to cry

Yearrgh! Why does there need to be a zillion codecs. Anyways, my point is, can anybody help me by telling me software or even where I can look for software to decompress AAC files so that I can actually burn them on to a CD? It bothers me.

Also, it's MPEG-2 LC-AAC, in case that helps. thx.
 
Try dbpoweramp music converter if you don't want to pay.

Nero Burning ROM will almost certainly do all of it for you automatically.
