Code: Terraform

Oh, this one is for the programmers of the [H] crowd. I recently came across this amazing game called Code: Terraform. Start from nothing on a new world and use your coding skills to program everything from Heaters to Solar Panels to Rovers to Labs and TONS of other devices and systems with the goal of terraforming a whole planet. This one isn't like any of the other programming type games before it, it's almost a sandbox where you're given free-reign to experiment. The creator of the game has stated that the demo is only about 5% of the full game and I was hooked from start to finish. It's great for anyone with any level of Python programming experience!

> WebGL and Windows only

Not even WebGPU. It's written in JS? 🤣

> 4GB of RAM required

:ROFLMAO: The guy couldn't figure out how to make it in Wasm, and ship it in the browser.

I have been speaking with the single sole developer of the game on his Discord and the amount of things he has planned for this game is INSANE. This game isn't going to be like any other programming game you've seen or played before. Haven't been this excited for a game like this in quite some time, it's going to be something very special.

Ugh, I have to play terraform at work, not interested in playing it at home :p

Due to an issue with Steam and it's greenlight system, the game has been delayed slightly to August 2026, but a list of features have been released on the Discord. This is looking like a VERY meaty game:

## What is in the full game, compared to the demo?

The demo covers the opening. The full game is considerably larger:

- **The Pioneer**: modular mining vehicle with slots, cargo racks, battery holders
- **Construction and Plan Mode**: blueprint and build the map yourself
- **Outpost networks**: found new bases and link them
- **Wires and pipes**: power lines, gas and liquid pipes, bridges
- **Fluid networks**: route water, oil and steam
- **The power grid**: solar, oil and steam generation, subnets, battery storage
- **Thermal vents and steam**: vent cycles, caps, turbines
- **Fabrication**: smelter and fabricator production chains
- **Earth orders and supply docks**: three contractors to supply
- **Drones**: electric and heli fleets, charging and refueling stations
- **Signal Bus**: cross-script coordination
- **Data Archive**: persistent script memory
- **15 contracts**: scripted programming puzzles
- **Atmosphere and terraforming**: oxygen, heat and pressure machines driving the world alive
- **Machine tiers**: Mk II, III and IV upgrade packs
- **The full Biolab loop**: recipes, catalog, creature reveals
- **Biomass**: drones harvest native life, liquifiers and mixers turn it into planetary biomass
- **Plants**: the Seed Maker and the living plant field
- **Wildlife**: de-extinction, habitats, colony husbandry
- **Sensors and sonar tiers**: geological survey, wide and deep scanning
- **Weather**: storms and thermal conditions
- **Detection**: radiation anomalies and tracking
- **Orbital program**: launch pad and satellites
- **Nuclear arc**: reactor and the fuel chain
- **Custom Panels and Control Room**: player-built live dashboards
