Hi all,

I never really liked games set in WWI or WWII era, and therefore never played any of the COD series, except for COD4.

Now, I was thinking of borrowing my friend's copy of COD: WaW to try out the SP when I heard that Jack Bauer (lol) was doing the voice acting. That kind of made me realize that there was quite a bit of effort and $$$ put into the game and that perhaps it could be fun to play the SP, for the story and what not.

Would you guys recommend it?

Thanks!

Single player was good and balance. Sniper mission was much more fun than the one in MW.

SP was decent. i preferred COD4's SP, and definitely preferred the sniper mission in COD4 to the WaW sniper mission. if you're borrowing a friend's copy to play then go for it, you've got nothing to lose. WaW's MP is excellent IMO.

Best part is the Bayoneting the enemy. Honeslty some parts, I was able to bayonet my way through an entire level.

Awesome fun in co-op.

Was I the only one that found the replay value of the single better for the 2nd part of the sp then the first?

Anyways, The sp is very good to sum it up. Coop as others have said is very fun.

I never liked WW era games - never liked using "old guns" but WaW is definitely an enjoyable game on the SP. Decent story / mission progression.

The game as a whole has a different look to it - other than era - obviously than CoD4 MW since it's a different developer so I wouldn't compare it too much to Modern Warfare.

Still a fun game

so I guess my borrowed copy won't work if I wanna play Co-op right?
I mean we prolly both need our own copies?

edit: oh and thanks for the replies :)

do you really have Gigantism?
I believe if you're playing co-op online, then no - your borrowed copy wouldn't work.

COD:W@W Campaign is good but not not as good (overall) as COD4's.
Using the the flamethrower and the bayonets were cool and Treyarch took some things from COD4's campaign and adapted it to WW2.

I thought it was great, and loved being able to re-play it in co-op with friends.

I thought I would not like this game. But it turned out to be a really fun and enjoyable game. I recommend it. Also get a couple of buddies together and play it co-op.

There are a couple of missions they don't put into co-op though that you can only play through singleplayer.

My roommate and I have logged in 65+ hrs on just co-op. Replaying levels and increasing the difficulties, fun stuff. The level Relentless on veteran is intense.
