Man some one was really lazy because 90% of the German army in the game is a complete fat ass. I doubt the German army was so obese and out of shape, if anything it would have been the American Army since they were not starving.

Tell me you are joking.

The US forces were far from "fed well". In fact they ran out of MRE's and C rations quite often. Among other shortages of things like munitions, weapons, medical supplies. Especially during the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes Forest on the German/Belgium border and again at Bastogne which is also in the Ardennes Forest. But those are two battles where US forces ran out of supplies including food.

They couldn't have been as heard pressed for supplies as the Germans.

I took the fat germans as a half joke, stereotypical type thing........whats that old sitcom....with the american POW's.....

The german soldiers were far from chubby true but this is such a silly thing to piss and moan about. I do not own CoD2 yet but after having played the demo i have no doubt it's an amazing game.

How come there are so many people making ignorant stereotypical comments that are completely unneeded like this useless thread. Oh WOW some of my German soldiers in a GAME are a little chubby. What were they thinking? We all know it should be the Americans running around dragging their 300+ pound asses around because we know all of them are fat right? Swallow a knife, thanks.

They didn't have MREs in WW2, just C, D and K rations. You're right though, supplies for the Americans were stretched very thin, even for the most basic of supplies like jackets and socks.

Augustus Gloop! Augustus Gloop! The dirty great big nincompoop!
Ahahahaha!
And, yes, he was German. From Belgium, actually. Which is quite strange he visited Wonka Factory for chocolate, because the Belgians are supposed to make world-class chocolate.....It's all a great mystery, to me.

im sure there were plenty of fat German soldiers during WWII.

and going along with what you guys were saying about the American forces being low on supplies and food, I had heard somewhere that the German's, mainly the German citizens (but probably the soldiers too i would think) were well fed all the way up to the end of the war.

Klink this is general Burkhalter ....

sgt Schultz ... i knowz nothzing

Major Hochstetter: What is *this* man doing here?

[while safecracking, the phone rings in Klink's office and Carter answers]
Carter: Hello? Oh, hi... I didn't mean to hang up on you before but you really do have the wrong number. This is a prisoner of war camp. Who am I? I'm a prisoner.
Hogan: Carter.

Damn, he does look pretty fat. They shouldn't be fat like that.

Actually the ones who don't have to move can be as fat as they want to be :p It's not like commanders or generals really need to hoof 1 mile with 50 lbs of gear in 6 minutes.

Technically he'd be Belgian...also, Belgians don't speak German, but rather Dutch and French.

Yes, I know. I was just making a point about how well the US forces were supplied. They weren't well supplied.

Huh? All he said is that IF anyone was going to be 'chubby' in the game, it should have been the American army because they had more food than the Germans during WW2. He's talking about WW2... not today. Calm down. :)

I concur - the Germans are obese.

Maybe we need to have somebody teach them pilates?

Well the Germans that manned a lot of the so-called "Atlantic Wall" were static divisions, and had old, young, wounded, or out of shape troopers. Hardly the creme of the crop from the German army. Now there were some exceptions, like the paratroopers under the command of Van der Heyte.

Oh, and the French "saved our asses" in the revolutionary war, so perhaps we were just paying them back...
