Anybody have info on system requirements for Modern Warfare 3 yet?
I looked on gamesystemrequirements.com and they said this... which I think is the same as COD: Black Ops.
I wonder if MW3 is going to be a new platform/engine game or the same platform at Black Ops???

CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 processor or better
RAM: 2GB RAM
VGA: Shader 3.0 or better 256 MB NVIDIA®GeForce™ 8600GT / ATI® Radeon™ X1950 or better
DX: DirectX® 9.0C or later
OS: Windows® XP / Windows Vista® / Windows® 7

HDD: 16 GB free hard drive space

My system is a tad better with my 8800GTX.
Think I can run it in 1680x1050?

Well they said they added ambient occlusion this time around, so it could take a little bit more to max it out.

That said, it's something you would turn off for MP anyway, so it'll look exactly the same as previous games.

The graphics and sound are exactly the same as CODMW2. The 8800GT is just the new Minimum Spec card...every console port released this year has it listed.

haha true. why help the other team hide better?

Same as those for MW2 which are more or less the same for MW1

It's a console title primarily and since the console CPU and GPU stay the same, and the game doesn't have any PC specific extras, the game is going to run more or less exactly like the predecessors.

2 gigs of RAM? Isn't that the bare minimum for just Windows 7?

for 64bit maybe but 32bit can run on less then 1GB if you really needed to. I had windows 7 running on my pos athlon xp-m 2400+ laptop with 448mb of usable memory because i was to lazy to deal with the windows xp install process.

either they over did ambient occlusion and it ends up being a resource hog or they barely put any in it which then does nothing. either way it should run pretty much identical to COD4/WaW/MW2/BO. pretty sad after what 5 years now the best they could do was add ambient occlusion to the game.

If you own MW2 and can't see the very same game being resold in this than you have issues. The scumbags are going to use the same concept until people stop buying it and they are forced to make real changes to the game and engine.

People are actually excited for modern mappack 3? In other news Steve Jobs voted most influential man in video games? Wtf is happening to the world?

Thanks for all the replys... except for the dildo comment

I actually am looking forward to MW3 on PC.
I'm still playing MW1 on PC and enjoy it.
I played MW2 on PS3 but wasn't very good at it because of the controller.
I'm so used to playing with keyboard & mouse I can't make the transition.

Kinda disappointing that MW3 is not a whole new game platform, but on the positive side I don't have to spend hundreds of dollars upgrading my hardware to play it (that's why I'm not buying BF3).
Heck, BF3 requires Win7 so I couldn't even play the demo. Oh well.

so I hear it's not all about kill streaks this time around...apparently they are taking a page from BF3 and distributing points based on teamwork, objectives etc...nice improvement...plus that Elite service will be free for PC users...I think I might actually give MW3 a shot
