Hi Guys,

I have not been able to get the proper FOV.

Currently have a 1920x1080 (23' Monitor) 16:9

I feel pretty ill using the max FOV the game has in the menu (90).

I have been trying to use the widescreenfixer app from wide screen gaming forum and I can't get the FOV upped to at least 100.

Nobody seemed to answer in their forums so I'm looking into someone here able to help me out if possible.

- Thanks in Advance -

The in game menu setting doesn't work.

You have to edit the players.ini and add in setmonkeytoy "0" and then map a commonly used key to fov like bind W "+forward;cg_fov 80" and I believe the console/ini setting of 80 is the highest allowed while the menu settings don't work for many people or are even fake (changes weapon model FOV and not view FOV).

The console ;cg_fov 80 looks fine for me, 100 is too much.

In-game setting does work, you just have to restart the game.

The MP CFG has a habit of resetting itself every time the game is launched. If you want to make the FOV stick, edit the file in Windows and set it to read only.

Thanks guys. The in-game menu worked for me from day 1. However I would like to go higher FOV than 90 degrees the game offers.

When I run the screen fixer app to 16:9 ratio it will just look about the same. I was hoping to upper up to 100 if possible.

That's because it assumes you want an FOV for your desired aspect using the default FOV as the baseline. So obviously setting it to 16:9 wouldn't increase your in game FOV higher than what it should be for 16:9.

Your only option is to tell it you have a 2x5:4 setup and see how the FOV looks. It may be super fisheye though.

Yes, I think you are perfectly right. That's probably my case. I guess I will play with some Dramamine for the time being :D

Thanks!

Things have been running fine for me in SP since the patch. I get hitches at some points in the game but that seems to be hard drive lag. Game runs good on the 5870m. Get over 60fps constant pretty much 4xaa / 1360x768. Still won't buy it though, just borrowed the game to play single player and I'm done with it. If you've played any other cod game...then you've played this game already.
