CoD Black Ops multiplayer first look

dont forget the annoying 13 year old kids that think its cool to play their ghetto ass rap music over the mic while in the lobby..

ahhahah thats definitely me when i play halo 3 online, except its hardstyle and dubstep, and other european electro stuff. I'm so mature :p
People get SOOOOOOO mad, like, mad enough to TK me constantly.

Thats why i like BC2, its very lighthearted in comparison to other FPS games. Lots of lulzy things you can do, and if somebody takes it seriously, they trolled by everybody. I especially love it when somebody complains about the gustav, and then everybody in the game change to engineers with gustavs to rub it in, and you'll have the 1 kid whos using an Abakan with a red dot, but not using his n00b tube because hes whining about explosions requiring no skill. :D

i dont really get why everyone thinks BC2 is "the real pc shooter." i still play MW2, yeah i hate the lack of dedicated servers, especially when host is from europe and im rocking a 200+ ping, but the game is still damned fun.

QFMFT. I love MW2. The game is just so satisfying to play that it always keeps me coming back for more. I don't even mind the lack the of dedicated servers. Playing on fiber optic I rarely have issues with ping.

Grenade of Airstrike 7: Black Grenade

This made me LMAO.

haha looks ok enough to me. Whether or not I get this game depends on my roommates and buds.

i couldn't believe it when they released a second cg'd Hulk movie.
but they did to try and 'right the wrongs' in the first movie.

i'll take this as a band aid for the scab that dedicated server-less MW2 left.

i personally think the graphics in the game are a bit too 'gamey' if that makes sense. would've liked to see more of a textured look than cartoon-y.

doesn't matter. i'm gonna brainlessly buy the game anyways.

Cartoon-y??? lol, TF2..... now thats cartoon-y

eh...I just picked at all the things I hate about this, to name a few.

Points coming out of peoples head when you kill them
Kill streaks
Grenades with trails on them
Remote control cars with bombs on them

Showed my brother and the first thing he comments on is every kill is with someone holding forwards, which made me laugh.

Anyway looks fantastic if you're 13 and own a 360 :}

It's CoD, what did you expect? A fucking miracle?

Shame your brother (Brissles) isn't going to play it, I was looking forward to shanking him again and him having a hissy fit.

The last sentence shows you have a superiority complex, it makes you look the puerile one.

I saw a guy doing an action hero dive and any leeway I might have ever have given this franchise went out of the window in a heartbeat.

Also it looks unmitigatedly shitty, visually.

No Geoff Leppard dominating all the games then? I may come top for a change!

Why not just buy it if YOU like it?

I buy games because either the single player is good or the multi player. COD doesn't have a great single player for me to spend $60 on it and a multiplayer that I find I hate playing with out friends so COD for me is heavily dependent on how many of my friends get it.

Am I the only one who preferred the original Call of Duty's multiplayer the best? No kill streaks, points, perks etc When the game starts everyone is on an equal playing field all the way to the end.

This. I cant stand playing COD by myself, but with a couple friends I can go hours without stopping.

This.
CoD: UO was THE BEST shooter i've ever played. It had vehicles, stationary guns and cannons, good objectives, and the guns we're pretty balanced.
Regardless, i'm looking forward to Black Ops just because I need a new shooter to play and BC2 was too slow for me.

L4D1 & 2 are my FPSs of choice for mixed play with steam friends, the problem is that many people on my steam friend list moved over to MW2, mainly because they had sucky aim and terrible situational awereness, I remember playing goldeneye source with a 14yr old once and when the round ended he told me " i'm going to play MW2 now, so cya ..... " MW2 is kinda like a noob shelter to me, even if it had dedicated server support it would still suck to my eyes because of the shallow gameplay, only noobs like modern FPSs filled with stupid perks and absolutely no accuracy penalties ( firing while moving - heavy recoil etc )

I doubt that black ops will be different but since i'm 99% sure that most of steam friends will get it i will buy so i can play with them.

More of the same that will sell shit ton but i'm not complaining, they have one hell of a Multiplayer and I'm all for it.

I enjoyed both MW 1 & 2. The single player in the first MW was better IMO.

ha. this is precisely why I play MW1. I am terrible. My nephew bought MM2 and told me not to bother with it, but I am definitely getting BO. Looks fun.

eh. I'm not interested. It's too arcade shooter for my tastes. No recoil/bullet drop, kill streaks, numbers flashing all over the screen.

I like my war games to be more realistic, I'll stick to TF2 or Quake Live if I wanted an arcade shootem up.

The single player looks interesting though, I may pick it up on sale if it's any good.

I hope the novelty of bonus points for every single kill wears off soon but no more stats period would be nice. If you look at BF42 it wasn't paying people to code unlocks and ranking systems that kept it selling it was Desert Combat.

Single Player looks interesting, but not much on the multi-player front. I was more interested in Battlefield.

nice :) I've been getting back into MW2 lately and I'm really enjoying it. Close to prestiging my 360 game and decided to jump back into my PC version to level it up. It's amazing how many more kills you can rack up with a good KB/mouse setup over a gamepad (it's been a while since I've played it on PC). I honestly don't understand all the hate... the game is fun, the maps are well designed, there is a shit load of depth if you're doing challenges and the kill streaks are rewarding. My only real complaint is the dedicated server issue... it's annoying having to wait 10-15 mins to get into a game of mercenary TDM and the map rotations leave a lot ot be desired.

I hope that TA does a good job with this one :) I wasn't a very big fan of WAW, but I'm sick of playing WW2 shooters too so who knows.

If you can get into a game that has little lag and no people using hacks and other cheats, then yeah it's fun.

I must be fortunite as I've only run into 1 cheater so far (I think... he could of just been a really good player too I guess, but he was a little 'too' good IMO). Lag also hasn't been much of an issue, or no more so than TF2 or any other online FPS I've played. I'm only level 35 though so I'm sure I'll run into more of these issues in the future. Like I said, my only real complaint is the crappy map rotation and occasionally waiting quite a long time to get matched for a game (dedicated servers would be so much better)

For the small amount of time I have spent with it though, the issues really seem to have been blown out of proportion

I will be getting this game just for the crossbow. :D

Seriously though, it does look decent. Maps look fun and graphics look half ways decent.

Did anyone else think the remote controlled car that blows up seems stupid? That would bring it into the 2010 era wouldn't it for technology?

Who said anything about no modern technology?

And trust me, this is not 2010 technology.

i know the military actually purchased a bunch of Traxxas E-max electric monster trucks for use in Afghanistan after 9/11, im sure they have used such technology before.

that wager match mode looks cool, but i wonder if it will even be included with the pc version. seems like it would be difficult to enforce an economy within the game with dedicated servers and i know someone would probably just make a gun game mod anyway.

Yeah, it's stupid. But BO just seemed to take stupid and run with it with all those killstreaks, weapons, and modes.

Who cares anyways. if you support BO, you support SCABS.

you know a lot of people, including me, actually LIKE the killstreaks, weapons, and modes. modernwarfare 2 would have been just about perfect imo with dedicated servers. sure i would have disabled noob tubes and nukes, but i enjoy the other stuff. it seems to me that the people who complain about the killstreaks in cod games are the kind of people that have trouble getting them in the first place. im sorry that you are bad and will never know the satisfaction of raining down death on a group of unsuspecting players with an ac-130 or chopper gunner.

personally i love the progression system also, people complain about the experience pop ups too, but thats hardly unique to mw2. from what i have seen of bad company 2 it is present in that game as well and for some reason people on these forums seem to think that it is a more legitimate pc shooter.
