) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming
2) What's your budget? He was thinking $1500 taxes in
3) Which country do you live in? Canada
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? Case, DVD, keyboard, mouse, CPU, Mobo, Ram, Videocard, PSU, Windows
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? None
6) Will you be overclocking? Id like to leave the option open
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? Going to start with his TV 1080, and then look at monitors
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Right away, he is gaming on a laptop right now
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? He is a pure gamer, so id think SLI/Crossfire support for futureproof, USB3 for portable hard drive.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? No.
He is a pretty heavy gamer, pretty much gets home, and games till bed. He wants off his laptop. He plays games on release, so im thinking nvidia might be a better option for him. I was thinking something along these lines
3570k/2500k
Asus P8Z77-V
Antec 300 two
Cheap DVD-Burner (didnt need bluray)
G.Skill DDR1600 16GB (2x8)
Hitachi Deskstar 7k1000.d
Samsung 830 128GB
Corsair Enthusaist Series TX750M (room for SLI/OC)
Asus 660TI OC DirectCU 1058/6ghz 2GB
Win764 Home Premium
This puts him at about 1320 before tax. That leaves him a bit to buy a keyboard and mouse. Though I havent been right up on my hardware (videocards esspecially). He plays WoW, Diablo III, CSGO.
Anything wrong with the build? I know there isnt a cooler, but when he OCs, if he does, he can add then. For now use built in turbo. Is the videocard a good choice? Should he go Sandy or Ivy?
All purchases would be through NCIX, or newegg.ca
Thanks
