OK well, my mobo seems to have some problems. when i boot, it says, cmos settings wrong, and it does not detect any devices at all, no HDD, no CDROM, no Floppy....

well..... in my mobo manual, ive read that to remove the cmos setting, i have to switch a jumper, while the computer is down. and not to boot while the jumper is set to: reset.

SO, what should i do? everything is well plugged... so im pretty fucked up

If I'm undertsanding you correctly, you're moving the reset jumper and leaving it in the reset position. You're not supposed to leave the jumper in the reset position. Your supposed to place it in the reset position for a few seconds and then put it back to the normal position.

yes hes right...just boot with it in the reset position...give it like 5 secs or not even...then switch it..then boot again you might have to make minor alterations but other then that it should work...if all else fails..buy a new mobo...the cheapest yet biggest upgrade you can make :)

Umm, no, you don't boot with it in the reset position.

Unplug the power supply first.

Now, move the CMOS jumper to reset, it's recommended to leave it in reset position for about a minute. Afterwards, move it back to normal position, plug the PSU back in, and then boot the machine.

really it wont harm the pc if you do..ive done it many times...I guess if you switch the jumper without booting it will still reset it however...
