CMOS Battery

So, fired up the trusty machine, and get a message that CMOS done got borked. Had to redo the settings. So, I'm of the opinion that the CMOS battery probably needs to be replaced (machine was built 4-5 years ago). Question - are all the batteries the same? Or do I need to pull the existing one out to get info off of it to find an exact replacement?
 
Yeah, you are most likely right that the battery is toast, took about that long for mine to die.

Some will die a few weeks after bringing the mobo home. It can happen at any time.

It is a simple watch battery. Look at the number on the battery, its like a 3127 or something. Go to your local radio shack, and pick one up. Before you put it in, leave the old one out for about 5-10 min.
