alright guys and gals. I am In the process of making a side panel window for my cm690 II Advanced. What do you think of making it out of this stuff?

its window/door screening. You can still see inside. but the view of the internal is jsut ever so slightly "blurred(?)" so it gives a different feel compared to plexi glass.

This the screening would look alright? Figured it would also let air though, unlike plexi.

An here is the "design" I cam up with. Nothing too special.

opinions please?

If you have any other ideas for window designs. Feel free to use the bottom picture to draw one up. I am still not 100% decided

How are you going to attach the screen?
Do you have a cat?

Depending on the airflow in the case, a screen that large will allow boucoup dust into your case.

Attaching the screen. i am currently playing around with different methods. Options are silicone adhesive, some small screws with washers on the inside like i attacked my plexi window on my old case. double sided tape of some sort maybe? Still working on the mounting.

I dont have any pets. And airflow. I have a 120mm intake on the front, 140mm intake on the bottom, 140mm intake on the side panel near the gpu. and 2 140mm exhaust up top and my H70 is set to exhaust as well.

I would cut the "window" hole, then place a rubber gasket around the cut.

Then secure the screen with small black "button head" hex screws/washers/nuts.

Screws and washers would allow you to put a little "stretch" on the screen to keep it flat and tight to the opening.:D

well, instead of the screen i decided to go with a piece of tinted plexi glass.

I finally had some time to work on my computer. Here is where everything stands thus far.

My Side Window Mod:
Here is the design I settled for. Its the original one I drew out. Luckily, my mother wasn't home. So as Long as I clean up well afterwards. She'll never know I did this in the kitchen!
