I have a CM690 and I guess I'm not installing the hard drives correctly. I've built at least 20 comps for people over the years (all with different cases, etc.), but I can't figure this out. It seems like there isn't enough room for the SATA power connectors to stick out from the HDD without hitting the side panel at the back, which has caused a few of them to break off (even if it seems like I'm not pushing the hdd in very forcefully). Also, I really wish I didn't have to remove both side panels just to install 1 hard drive. It's really very annoying, and the only conclusion I can come to is that either I'm not doing this right, or this isn't a very good design.

The power connector for the bottom hard drive sticks out past where the door would go, and if I had the door on and I pushed that hdd back it would break the connector off.
