Ok, I just got a new CM Storm Scout case that I am fixing to build but I have some questions about air flow to get the best results. Here is what I have now to install.
Hardware:
MSI NF750-G55
AMD X4 925
Corsair XMS3 DDR3
(2) PNY Nvidia 9800 GT EE 1gb (SLI)
Cooling:
Corsair H50 CPU water cooling kit
OCZ XTC rev. 2 Memory cooler
(1) Antec Tricool 120mm (Front intake)
(2) CM 90cfm 120mm in a push/pull with Radiator (Top Rear intake)
Stock 140mm Top fan (exhausting)
(2) Logisys 69cfm 120mm for the side panel to cool the SLI & Chipset
My question is should the side panel fans be intakes, exhaust or 1 in & 1 out? On this case the front fan is pretty much blocked by the hard drive cage, but I am still using it. I have heard of some people using to the bottom side panel fan as an intake and to top on as an exhaust. But to me that would seem to create a hot spot since to air would never move very far, just loop out. I have not put this system together yet, so I can't test anything. I can always try a few things once I get it all up and running, I am just trying to get the cooling lined out first. Any ideas or suggestions would be great. Thanks
