ok ive pretty much only owned lian li cases since they were released .. and im looking for a new case now .. had this pc75 for awhile and im kinda tired of it .. i was looking at the CM stacker and it has a ton of space .. room for 2 psus .. and room for watercooling fitting a large rad up front with little modification ..

i was looking at the newer lian li pcv21000b .. its nice .. still kinda expensive .. but im not sure i like the layout of the case ..

how is the build quality of the cm stacker compared to lian li casees .. that is the main thing that is holding me back from going out and buying one today .. dont worry about the side panel .. it will be replaced with a window ..

the cm stacker i was thinking of is the one with the black drive bays and silver on the rest .. since most of my components are black and silver ...

let me know what you guys think :)

If you don't care about it being made out of steel and weighing 40lbs empty then it is probably a good choice.
Personally I wish it was made of aluminum, had a slideable motherboard tray and came with a window instead of the side panel with a grill.

yeah i mean .. its not being moved .. ive havent owned a steel case in a long ass time ..

it just seems better even then say a lian li pcv2100b ..

room for 2 psus .. btx compatabile .. tons of room for watercooling without
having to hack the case up like u have to do with the pcv2100b to fit a black ice 2
or something ..

i just dunno ..

The Stacker has a steel frame with aluminum panels. It's not as heavy as it looks, and the aluminum makes cutting windows much easier.

However, with two power supplies, a water tank, and twelves bays worth of storage, you wont be moving it around much. Not even an aluminum frame is going to help with that.

yeah i wont have 12 bays full of drives .. mostly want the case cuz bix 2 fits perfectly in the front with no modding .. if i went with a 2100b i would have cut it all up .. im not too comfortable with that

The stacker is straight Ugly. I could never house my computer in something like that.

It may be deep, and may be roomie for all your computer needs, but its not pretty at all :(

I think your crazy. The stacker is perfect. There is nothing ugly about it. If you like Lian Li cases, I don't see how can anyone not like the stacker. It's just as plain looking as any Lian Li.

I love my stacker, and I think its far from ugly...

If it were all silver.... or all black.. then it would be ok... but I cant do the Sliver but black down the middle thing...

the front isnt perfectly flat is it ?? that is the only thing bothering me about it .. and also i dont like how the windowed side panel is either

I fit a BIX3 right in the top of my PC-75B perfectly, it's nice and long. PC-75 is a large case, maybe mount it out back?

the pc75 is a nice case .. do u have a pic .. u had to hack the top off basically to get it to fit .. if u have a pic can you post it .. the reason i was considering the cm stacker was u dont have to hack anything .. the bix II fits right on the bottom no problem

in the pc75 or the pcv2100 u have to basically cut the hell out of it to fit anything

If money is no objection then yes, get a stacker.

Reason stackers are betta than rian-ri:
They're made of steel, not crappy aluminium which vibrates.
Can hold 12 hard drives and 2 cd drives at the same time
Can have 3 120mm fans at the front and 1 at back + 2 80mm fans without modding.
Can hold 2 PSUs
BTX compatible (not sure if 75 is)
Look better
and once again, dont friggin vibrate (my 65 loves to shake with my raptors, which isnt fun)

Disclaimer: ^^^ Is MY OPINION, so fuck off if you dont like it :)

^ going to agree with that except you should maybe wait for the "stacker 2" 120's all around and the side panel can possibly hold (4) 80, 92, 120 or 140mm fans.
plus that might knock the stacker price down a bit as well.

this aluminum CM ATC-210 of mine vibrates like mad, annoying as hell.

Stacker 2 loses two bays and the second PSU. It seems to be trading raw valume for a nifty door.

well it looks like im putting off upgrading my system to sli for a bit until ati releases theirs .. so i guess ill just get a new case and ram for the time being .. i really like the lian li pc2000b but i heard a few people having problems with the motherboard mounts .. anyone hear of this ?

You may be past this poing but I really like my lian-li 6077. They also have the 7077 which looks to be about the same size as the coolermaster stacker. Same look on the outside as well except that it looks like a Lian-Li

Yep, that's a nice case. I like how you can reconfigure the drive bays any way you like. I'm surprised more people haven't checked it out.

The "Stacker 2" you're referring to is the new 830.

A barely modified version of the current stacker is still going to be available, designated the 820.

There's also an 810, which IIRC is kind of like the 820 but with no second PSU bay.
