CM Stacker 830 - BLACK

why do you want that case in the first place? IMO the old stackers are better and cheaper.

I just went to this site today and saw that under the global section, they Cooler Master is advertising a CM Stacker 830 in black. The problem is, not sure when it will be in stock for purchase.

And for Toast's question: It's not as much a matter of functionality (which it still has in spades, being a Stacker) as it is of style. Honestly, it's priced _way_ too high to be a "utility" case like the originals and the 810s are. But, for those of us who like a well-designed aluminum behemoth this is perfection.
 
I look at the 830 in the same light as the Asus Vento.

Where the Asus Vento may use a steel structure with an overdose of plastic, the 830 does the same with aluminum. But most people get the interpretation that the same overdose but in aluminum is perfectly acceptable because the grade of material is higher quality/more expensive.

So IMO they are both goddy looking cases.

I think 'most people' 'get the interpretation' that it's way too expensive, and leave it at that. The Vento is an abomination, pure and simple. Sorta like the Pontiac Aztec. Then you've got the 830. Yes, it's really huge. Yes, it's made of aluminum. But there is a very, very big difference between the two. The Vento is a gaudy, sculpted-plastic monstrosity. The 830 is more like taking an 810 made out of aluminum and melting it just a tid bit, squishing it town a few inches and then carving it into something sleek and about as sexy as a super-tower can get you. There isn't an 'overdose' of aluminum in the 830 because it doesn't have completely useless and fugly bits everywhere. Yes, the material is higher quality, thus it is more expensive. And unless Coolermaster likes shooting themslves in their collective foot, they calculated that the increased cost of material is worth the higher-class look. But, I will forbear on further speculation about your parentage and/or speculation about your tastes in general.
 
Also, the Stacker 810s are more function than form. The new 830 took away the ruggedness that the 810 had because the 810 was designed the way it was for its function. It is like comparing the H1 to the H2 or H3. The H1 was a military behemoth, with tons of function and durability. It was only targeted on a specific market, for people who wanted something huge and tough. Then came along the H2, which with its lack of ruggedness, increased styling, and more form than functionality, completely killed the Hummer. And the H3 was Hummer hitting themselves while they were down...

But I do agree that the 830 will look MUCH better in black :D
