what do you guys think abotu this case .. for airflow it seems to be one of the best .. 3x120s up front and 2x120s in the rear .. im thinking of selling off my lian li cases .. and picking this up .. to cool my sli setup .. the lian lis with lack of airflow just dont cut it anymore ?? let me know what you guys think ?
 
The stacker is supposed to be very good.

Now, about those Lian Lis... how much are you asking?
 
go for it ;) nice case and its aluminum, so it shouldnt be that bad and of course as you mentioned it has nice cooling :D
 
I have a stacker... and well... its HUGE!!! but, it has the best airflow i think out of many cases. I have been modding my case, but i have 3 120mm fans in front 1 120mm fan on the top of my case and one 120mm fan on the window of my case. Also the entire case is made out of steel. and weigs about 30 pounds without anything in it. Taking it to LANs is kinda hard but it also comes with wheels. So its not too hard to wheel around. My suggestion on this case... BUY IT! BUY IT NOW!
 
yeah im not moving it ..

but im going from like 7 lian li cases to this .. so i hope i make the right choice
 
just thought id bump this up by sayin. GREAT! its always good to see people go away from Lian Li. I mean sure they may be nice and all, but cmon. ok thats all i got to say.
 
I have the older stacker with the single 120mm in the rear, but let me tell you its huge and its awesome.

Just make sure to spend the money on some low noise fans or get a fan controler, cause I have 8 fans on my case right now and with out the controler its LOUD!
 
u mean 820 ?? the btx version .. if so .. www.sundialmicro.com is the only place in the USA that has the black version 810 and 820 .. i called coolermaster and that is what they told me .. since they are close to them they get everything .. so i ordered my case from them cuz no other place had black .. just silver

I googled and found a listing for it at Directron.com , but they no longer carry it, wonder why? SundialMicro has it for 155.00 now, 10 beans off their normal price, so I ordered one. I had agonized over that decision for several days, I have been using Lian's for the past 3-4 years now and it was'nt easy to choose another brand after being spoiled by them.

830 = Stacker 2. completely new case.
 
On the topic of the 830... I dont really think that they are holding up to the stacker name. I mean the stacker is a beast. Tall huge easy to access. Very plain, easy to mod, server case of awesomeness, that i think should be maintained, kinda like a mustang, OR a camaro or whatever cars you are into that have lasted a long time. :D But i think the remake of the stacker is utterly pointless and I think that they are moving in the wrong direction with this... Just my 2 cents. Sorry if i piss anyone off by saying this :)
 
I'm still waiting for this case to make an appearance. I have decided it will be the one to replace my crappy P180. Hurry up coolermaster or i will get another LianLi...

Which, the 810? I got mine last thursday, unfortunately I have not had time to assemble my computer in it. It is very large compared to the Lian PC V1200b that I had. I should have it together by tomorrow evening.

nay i'm waiting for the 830. Kevin Voong of Cooler Master emailed me and said it would be released in November. That may be too long for me to wait.
 
I finally got the Stacker 810 finished, and I must say it delivers. Although the fans are not of the super high output variety they do an adequate job of cooling. This has case temps several degrees cooler than my Lian Li PC V1200b. (4-5 celsius) The only thing I can hear from my system now is the fan on the 6800 Ultra, and the occasional stirring of the raptor.

The only thing I don't care for about this case is the PITA it is to swap out hard drives. You must remove the front covers to access the 4 in 3 device module that houses them.

Also I wish the front panel that houses the power and reset switch had an option to remove the USB, front audio jack and firewire section of it, I have my own 3.5 breakout box that I will be using rather than that. But other than those things it is a beautiful case that outcools my previous Lians, so I am satisfied with it.
 
Well I finally got around to the pictures, not the best lighting but I am no professional photographer. The pictures do this case no justice, they are terrible.

I only got 6 off before my Ni Hyd. batteries went dead, I will try to get more later. All I have done so far is remove the outside stamped grill on the rear fans and replace them with the finger guard wire type that were on the inside. I have not attempted any cable management, that is for a rainy day when I can get some time to remove everything and do it right. Unfortunately with the PSU located on the bottom this will not be an easy task, especially the 12 volt 4 wire lead that runs up between the I/O panel and the processor. The only way I could make it stretch is to run it under the front part of the 6800 Ultra. I may have to invest in another PSU that has considerably longer wires in order to do this properly.

I opted to use the breakout box that came with my Intel 945 mainboard rather than use the USB / Audio / 1394 panel that comes with this, I didn't like the fit of the Audio ports, I had to exert a lot of force on the headset jack to get it in. I don't like the way I have the DVDRW's arranged so I will probably be moving them to make it a little more aesthetically appealing, but am limited by the short cables on the breakout box.
