Hi guys! Been lurking on this forum for a while and decided I should register and say about my soon to be build and also get a little advice.

Well as my title says I am using the CM elite 130 case and have the following parts already;

Intel Core i5 4670K 3.40GHz Socket 1150 6MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor
XFX Black Edition 750w 80+ Gold Fully Modular PSU
Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO
Seagate 2TB BARRACUDA 3.5" SATA-III Hard Drive - 7200RPM 64MB Cache
Asus Republic of Gamers GX850 Gaming Mouse Black
ROG Maximus VI Impact Motherboard

I'm still needing ram, OS keyboard and GPU. I am in two minds to say either 770 4gb or a 780, a top 770 is the same price as a starter 780 so what do I go with? also not sure which ram to go for and either 8gb or 16gb? OS i will be getting win 7 as i detest windows 8.
Thanks guys and I will post up pics when I start putting it together.

The rule of thumb is "if you ask which GPU to get on a forum, you'll always get "the more powerful one" response." In this case, the 780. For RAM, it's 8Gb minimum, 16Gb recommended. If it's just a gaming rig, you'll be fine with 8Gb.

I would recommend that you get a WC unit. The Impact is simple to overclock and it would be a waste not to. The H80 would be good for that case.

I forgot to put on the list i already have an H75 for the job (got it free so cannot complain)

I think the ROG Maximus VI Impact is a bit overkill unless it has specific features you need. Otherwise it will be a great build.

get a cheaper motherboard and better gpu.
unless u are going for overclocking records theres not much reason for that mobo
