I was always a dying hard fan of Antec P180/182. But due to unavailability of and huge cost factor over here, I had to chuck Antec from my mind.

After having several reviews I presume CM 690 to be the next best thing after Antec cases in terms of quality and cost effectiveness. I've recently purchased a new rig last saturday, but shocked to see that CM 690 does'nt have a dust filter.

My question is does it have filter or my shopkeeper fooled me? The case wasen't box packed, i don't think he would have tempered it. But if it does'nt have a filter, then what all measures should be taken to keep it clean from inside??

It doesn't have a filter, it's an open mesh type case. Your best bet is cleaning often and blowing out the case with compressed air on a regular basis.

All Coolermaster cases with mesh have filters behind them. You should vacuum them regularly to clean out the dust.

The removeable mesh drive bay slots should have foam clamped to it for filtration. The front 120mm fan is mounted to a plastic frame thing that also has a fine plastic mesh filter on it.

The sides aren't filtered.

That drive slot foam is already fixed when it or I have to separately buy and put it there?

It's already affixed there, I take mine out because I don't like cleaning it. I suppose you could just blast it with compressed air to remove all the dust.

Just curious where are you that the Antec cases are super expensive?
