CM 690 II advanced has a price of $80.85 while the basic is $58.99 (after $10 MIR). Difference is roughly $25 after taxes. (Note that the prices are in CAD, tax is 13% here in Quebec where I live).
Advanced has the following features that the basic doesn't have.
1. External Hdd dock - I already have a thermalake duet dual hard drive dock with eSATA connection so not sure how useful this is.
2. Internal GPU holder for crossfire setups (able to add additional 80 mm fan for better cooling).
3. SSD bracket -not sure how useful this is now, maybe in the future?
4. Fans. Basic has 2 x 120 mm fans, one in front and one at rear. Advanced has three fans. 2 x 140 mm (in front, one top) and rear 120 mm fan.
5. Advanced is fully tool free while the basic is partial tool free.
Are the differences worth the $25 difference? Basic I am concerned about the fans in the basic setup. Although is it possible to change the fans on the basic to 140 mm ones yourself?
Thanks.
