Cluster or Multiple Machines?

I have a buncha old mobo combo laying around and I wanted to build a box to put them all in and start some folding. Would it be better to cluster them or to have them separate machines? Which will do more work?
 
Just set one up as a fold server, and boot the rest off the network with it to fold. Setting up a cluster for F@H doesnt really make sense, as the cores are not multithreaded.

not multithreaded? really? huh. that seems odd. I wonder why that is. Anyways, thanks for the advice. I'll sort through my pieces and see what all I have. The best I have is a dual p3-400 and the worst is a p133 (over clocked to 166 :D )
 
yeah it is not multi threaded yet... heard rumors about it going multi but nothing yet

Multithreaded is something they have been promising for a very long time and has not yet come around. I'd be surprised if they ever get it done for this round of folding. They didn't have it for Folding 1 and I don't see them having it for Folding 2 either.

I was gonna stick it under my desk at work.

speaking of which, should I just use one PSU for all the AT machines and one PSU for the ATX machines?
