Well ive been running a e7200 for years now and im trying to look for an upgrade because the performance is pretty bleak now for gaming.

I got a price budget of 330 pounds and i need new mobo, new ram and a new processor my 2 main questions are.

Is it worth saving a few quid and going with the first revision of the I5 processor and the old socket mobo etc , or is it worth spending 190 on the unlocked i5 2500k and going with the newer tech

Im not the sort of person that upgrades regularly, last time i upgraded was like 2-3 years ago
