Well, I'm looking for some cloth wire sleeving...

Pretty much like the stuff included in highend audio interconnects (or, shitty interconnects posing as good ones :p)

Can anyone help? I've got a new pair of cans coming in I need to re-cable.

Page 790 of mcmaster carr, or I could buy some from frys in a shorter length(about 25 feet for 7 or 8 bucks) and ship it all the way to Canada for the exact price for our forum's best helper

LMK via PM if you want me to pick some up and in what size

Hehe. Well, TECHNICALLY I'm a transplanted Canadian... I'm in Ohio now :p.

But, techflex is actually the plasticy stuff, no? I want the soft cloth-like stuff like one would find on the Zune headphones.

Yeah, they have it at fry's, I saw some last time I went there

I use it, it works great. They suggest to cut it with a hot knife, to keep it from fraying. Since most of us don't have a hot knife, I cut it with sharp sissors and use a cheap soldering iron to melt the edge a bit. Works great.

I use a soldering iron with a knife tip. The tip was cheap, and I needed the iron anyway. I use a butane model so I can get into cars with it.

Eh, I'd go through 100 feet in around 2 months if I was still building custom systems :p.

I went through a 500 foot roll of black 1/4" techflex in the month of march alone :p

Thanks for the linky!

Ah. In that case, you're welcome. Since I'm now interested, I'll keep my eyes peeled for other vendors.
