Looks like we're making some headway on closing the gap in daily gain against the Aussies... their daily gain on us has been around 30-35k/day for the last few weeks.... today it's down to about 24k... So let's keep up the pace and build, borg, OC, tweak,etc our way back so we have that coveted duck trophy back in our possession!!

We're still a good ways behind.... and the Aussies aren't the only ones we have to worry about... team "www.overclockers.com" is not too far behind us!

Yeah. Its starting to cool off a bit now (weather wise I mean), so hopefully that will entice some people to bring their farms back up and running.

Heres to hoping!
 
Also here in Australia it's been unseasonally warm, so people may have reduced some overclocks and/or turned off some of their farm... It's getting into Thunderstorm season where we have a nice electric show literally around every four days (here at least), so people might be turning them off to prevent them getting fried or having the power go out. Especially since Energex takes forever to get power back on once it goes off...

(I must be a rather rare breed - I'm an Aussie who chose to fold for the [H]orde instead of OCAU. :eek: )
 
also they have switched some of their power over to DF so they can retain their spot before it ends.

We got a fight on our hands once DF ends.

Now that's a good question. :confused: I wonder what the sound of one hand clapping in the Outback is if no ones around to see it? Is there a sound at all? :confused:

Ah well, we may eventually get first place back but I'd rather the 'roos not have to power down due to the weather. Lot's of lost production no matter what team it is.

Exactly. If it takes other teams' production to decrease to get us back in first, then its not even a real victory anyway. We're all folding for the same cause, so hopefully the war is won by increasing production for all teams. :)

Actually, they fold clockwise in the northern hemisphere and anticlockwise in the southern hemisphere. Things on the atomic level are always weird... ;)
 
well same thing happens to us during our summer... so its all good in a way and bad in a way.. end the end though, medical research still takes the blow... :(
 
It's a glass half full/half empty kind of thing, at least folding is worldwide so that when mean old man summer comes around the other half of the world is chillin down... kind of a ying yangish don't you think? It's becoming fall in Seattle - temps in the 50's and high humidity - providing lovely thick chewy air that literally rips the heat from my Thermalrite! My FSB is back up there now, and my son's upgrade will happen shortly. Fold on!

We're kicking ass! By us increasing our production too! They haven't been tailing off at all. Lets keep this up guys!

im pretty sure that if we hadn't lost MF we would have either been matching OCAU's production or even overtaking them. the fact that we've been able to compensate pretty well is impressive :cool:
 
that's pretty nice there. i could close that gap a further 1000 or so if i could get back to the school i borged that got shut down (computers got rebooted + folding wasn't yet in the startup script = i dropped ~40 machines) but i should be able to get it back online in a week or two. still stucks though... and i wish MF hadn't had to stop. o well... we'll get there eventually.
