Tomorrow morning is your chance to see a really big Moon. Truman was still in office the last time something comparable happened, and you may not see anything similar until 2034. If you intend to photograph it, make sure it’s not alone, else you will lose any scale.

Its official name is the perigee-syzygy, meaning the moon is both full and closest to Earth. But many call it the supermoon, and Monday's version will be a "showstopper," NASA says. It's the nearest supermoon in almost 70 years — and we won't see another like it until 2034. "When a full moon makes its closest pass to Earth in its orbit it appears up to 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter, making it a supermoon," NASA says.

that picture at the linked site is so misleading, hint it's super zoomed in the moon never looks that big.

But oooh 14% bigger, so instead of half of a degree wide it's 0.57 degrees wide? wowzer!!!

"Super Moon" would be months in the making. It wouldn't magically grow by a massive percent over night. It isn't the Death Star! Or is it?
If true, this hype would have gone on for months, not days.
%7 closer = "appears" %14 "bigger" = "appears %30 brighter" Ya okay NASA.

I watched it last night and I think it looked bigger last month
