hi, i have a problem with my clock..

this is a Tyan Trinity 400 motherboard that i recently used to build a computer from... at first, it had a cmos checksum problem so i took the cmos battery from my main rig and replaced the old broken one... now it works and my main rig is using a new battery i bought... recently ive noticed thru the many times i had to change my time, that my time is slow... i had set my time again several days ago and today i noticed that the time has slowed down to where its 3 hours slower meaning lets say its really 9:00 right now, then the computer clock would show 6:00

is there something i need to set?... or is it that my motherboards cmos problems or whatever?... btw, i m using a clearly working battery....

help, this is getting really annoying

Clearing the CMOS and especially removing the battery will reset the internal clock. You have to A) change it manually in the BIOS or B) change it in Windows and synchronize it with the Windows time server.

It's frustrating for overclocking, but a part of life one must simply deal with.

no no no, you misunderstood me

my time is right, except it slows down
 
Its possible the clock on the mobo may be faulty. Not the CMOS, but the chip itself. Nothing you can really do, apart from resetting the time, or buy a new one if it bothers you a lot.
