Hi, recently I have been having some really annoying clipping noises in UT2004. I have an SB Audigy 2 ZS and Logitech z-680's. I have tried other games such as HL2 and there is no problems with it there..does anyone know what this could be?

edit: I also checked the wiring.
 
That is to be expected if the master volume is at 100%
(the audigy cards start clipping at about 60%)
 
Yep. I wonder if that is the cause for some of the audio stutter problems in HL2.
 
As far as clipping, I can only assume they are underpowering an opamp, opamps in general get pretty unruly when there's not enough power to feed them.
 
If you replace the crummy stock opamps with something can that operate closer to the voltage rails you still have the same problem (the card still starts clipping at right around 60%).

I wonder if that is the cause for some of the audio stutter problems in HL2.

More likely your PCI latency setting is to low.
