Clicking in audio

I recently started hearing a lot of clicks in my audio, in both iTunes and VLC. The strange thing is, if I skip back, the clicks are all repeatable. Should I try a driver update? I have a Creative Audigy 2ZS "Gamer" (bought it cheap off a friend). Any other ideas?

EDIT: It may just be college power not being so great. When I turned on my fan, I heard clicking in my headphones

If your fan is messing with it what kind of lighting do you have? I have seen problems with electronics sharing a circuit with fluorescent lighting static ball thingies and oddly i had a candle warmer thing (The kind that melts the wax so you can smell it without burning it) cause troubles with electronics.

Try as many outlets as you can.
