I was looking at for some sata3 cables on taobao (chinese ebay) and I came across these cables:

sata3 cables $17 shipped in China.
from American site
sata2 cables blue
sata2 cables black $5 shipped

Lian-li has some also SATA-LT90-4S
black
blue
red

another brand Amphenol has a triple sata cable

Is there a real difference between sata2 and sata3 cables? Is it worth paying for the Sata3.0 branding?
Does anyone have any experience with **********?
I don't know why there aren't more products like this on the market given how many cases are being designed to accommodate cable management.

found a thread that confirmed for me that there is no difference between SATA2 and SATA3 labeled cables.

It also said that USB 1 and USB 2 cables are the same, is that also the case with USB 3.0 cables?
 
Yeah same deal with USB cables, there is no difference as they follow a standardized pin layout.

USB3.0 cables are fiber, so no, they're not the same as far as speed capability goes, but they are the same as far as compatibility and connector pin-out.
